Recent sightings!

Recent sightings over the past week have included the following:
Lodge grounds and Trails:
Surprisingly a Magnificent frigatebird was seen over the lodge, this is our second record from the lodge grounds and also a Savanna Hawk, both of these species are rare sightings from the lodge but common birds in their own habitats. Slaty breasted wood rail, Maroon bellied Parakeet, Swallow Tailed hummingbird, White throated woodcreper, Spot breasted antvireo, Star throated antwren and Black cheeked gnateater.

Three-toed Jacamar Excursion:
Capped heron, White tailed hawk, Three-toed Jacamar, White-eared Puffbird, Yellow-eared Woodpecker, Tail banded Hornero, Common thornbird, White browed Blackbird and Chestnut caped blackbird and Streamer tailded tyrant.

Theodoro Trail:
Bertonis and Ferruginous Antbird, White rimmed Warbler, Yellow browed Woodpecker Scale throated hermit, Brassy beasted Tanager, Buff browed Foliage Gleaner and Buff fronted Foliage Gleaner.

High Altitude Excursion:
Swallow tailed Cotinga, Black and Gold Cotinga, Bay chested Warbling Finch, Red-legged Seriema, Brazilian Ruby, Plovercrest, White throated hummingbird, Rufous tailed Antbird and Diademed Tanager.
